Prince– Prince is an excellent example of how the BTCC Rescue Program can assist breeders in placing a dog that needs re-homing. Prince is a 7 year old boston terrier that was bred by a BTCC breeder. Unfortunately, the only home that he had his whole life had to surrender him due to personal circumstances. The owners contacted BTCC Rescue who was able to trace the breeder’s tattoo and contact her regarding the dog. The breeder referred the dog back to rescue for placement as there was a wide geographic distance between the dog and the breeder. |

BTCC Rescue had the dog neutered, vet checked and carefully screened homes before placing Prince in a wonderful home in Manitoba with a loving family who is devoted to him. The following email was recently received from Prince’s new family: "His adjustment seemed instant. He has settled right in and we can’t imagine the home before him. His first week was very busy. He has made guest appearances at Kids Club and Show and Tells. He has been with us on every car ride and even gave garage sale-ing a try. He came home with several nice new balls and a squeaky carrot with which he loves a good game of monkey in the middle. He ever seems to outplay the children. The farm is full of so many new smells and things to see. He has met horses and cats and the children each take him out several times a day. Between three children each taking him out, that’s a lot of "out"! He is very loyal to the family and seems to really understand the children are his. He sleeps faithfully on their beds and greets each of them as they come home with his big smile." That’s the kind of happy ending that we LOVE to hear! Congratulations Prince and the Smith family in Manitoba! A special thank you goes out to BTCC members Cindy Mackling and Nancy Sobey for their willingness to help this lovely fellow.
