  LULU - A Rescue Story

Lulu is a middle aged spayed female boston terrier that found herself without a home after her elderly owner had to enter a senior’s residence. Poor Lulu was suffering from a variety of health problems when she entered our care, the main one being obesity from a lack of exercise and rich diet of table scraps. Also, because of Lulu’s inappropriate diet, she had severe teeth decay and had to have 10 teeth extracted. It took some time in foster care before Lulu was healthy enough to go to a new home. Lulu was put on an appropriate diet of weight loss formula dog food and began a daily walking program. Soon, Lulu was feeling better and was ready to go a new family. Lulu was used to living in a home without any other pets or children, therefore she needed a quiet, adult only home.

Lulu found a wonderful caring home with a retired couple on Vancouver Island . Although this couple had recently experienced the loss of their beloved boston terrier Polly, they opened their hearts to Lulu and welcomed her home.

Congratulations Lulu, Colin, and Ina!
