  LOLA - A Rescue Story

Lola is a 1 year old female boston terrier that is nothing short of a miracle. Lola was rescued from an animal shelter in Quebec by an incredibly kind and compassionate woman who knew that Lola did not deserve to die. Lola was literally taken off the euthanasia table as she lay there in restraints, waiting to be put to sleep. Lola was whisked to safety and taken to a vet to begin her road to recovery. Poor Lola had been owned by a person who thought that a diet of bread and milk was sufficient for a growing boston terrier puppy. She was shaking and emaciated when she was surrendered to the animal shelter. Lola was also missing large patches of fur due to malnutrition. The shelter made the decision to euthanize Lola, mistakenly assuming that she not worth saving. BTCC Rescue will forever be grateful to the person who saved Lola from the brink of death, a wonderful woman who wishes to remain anonymous so she can continue to help other dogs from death.

Lola required extensive vet care to regain her health. She started a diet of nutrient rich food and was compassionately cared for by our BTCC Rescue Representative Nancy Taylor and the veterinarians at Clinique Veterinaire Poirier-O’Brien and Dr. Brenda Taylor at the Highway 24 Vet Clinic in Windsor . Our sincere thanks go out to the many generous and caring individuals who donated funds to help Lola recover from this terrible ordeal. We certainly couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of so many kind hearted people!

BTCC Rescue would to like to thank BTCC Rescue Representatives Luc and Carole Brisson in Ottawa for fostering Lola until she was healthy enough to be safely transported to the waiting arms of her foster Mom Nancy Taylor in Guelph , Ontario .

Lola – after many weeks of good nutrition and love!

Nancy nursed Lola back to health and provided her with the care that she needed to make a full recovery. Lola’s story would not have happy ending without the incredible teamwork of many generous individuals. Thank you to everyone who helped to save Lola’s life!

Lola is now living the life she should have had when she was a puppy. She has been adopted by Frank and Krista and is loved and cherished by them. Congratulations!
