Jiggs is a 9 year old male boston terrier that was surrendered by his elderly owner because she was going into an extended care facility. No one in the family could take Jiggs as they all had large dogs that Jiggs was afraid of. Jiggs was taken into the BTCC Rescue Program after we were contacted by a member of the family. Jiggs was brought to the home of Cindy Holland, a BTCC Rescue Representative, by two grandsons of the previous owner. They told her that when they took Jiggs from his home it was the only time that they had seen their Grandmother cry. When the family members left Jiggs was quite upset and they were also very teary eyed. Jiggs spent the night sleeping by the kitchen door, apparently waiting for his buddies to return. When Cindy opened the package of Jigg’s belongings the next morning she found a note that his previous owner had written and had tucked in with his things. It simply read “Please love him.” |

| The
first few days Jiggs was very timid but loved being petted and having his
ears scratched. You could tell that he had been very loved. He had a funny
little habit of dragging around a security blanket…one of Cindy’s
husbands socks! Jiggs gradually came out of his shell and started to play
with the other bostons in the home. Jiggs found a wonderful home with a caring and compassionate boston lover named Liz. He has a boston terrier sister named Dusty and he is loved dearly by the both of them. Many, many thanks to everyone who made this a happy ending for Jiggs: Kelly Pankatz, Colleen Peacock, and Cindy Holland. Special thanks to Liz and Dusty for opening their hearts and home to a lovely and well mannered gentleman named Jiggs. We love a happy ending!
